    BENEFITS OF RESTORATIVE YOGA

Can improve important systems of the body including:
Skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary, reproductive and lymphatic.

Can be more renewing than a nap:
Sleep is unconscious relaxation. We often fall asleep with the same tension in our bodies and minds as when we first lay down. When we awaken, we may have a sore back or neck, gripping jaws, or headaches. Because restorative yoga is conscious relaxation, we consciously observe our habits of tension and where they create imbalance. Practice "letting it go."

Can be more energizing than a cup of coffee:
Coffee is a stimulant that actually creates tension, and tension depletes your energy. Through restorative yoga, you let go of tension, allowing your natural energy to flow more freely.

Can complement your regular work out:
Deep relaxation promotes optimum circulation and respiration. The long holds in a restorative practice cultivate the calm necessary for mental and physical stamina.

    Can enhance your flexibility:
In a passive supported pose, muscles have the time to release and lengthen, instead of being pulled into stretches, which can create contraction, resistance and even spasm.

    Foundation for advance Yoga Practice:
Restorative poses are a good way to prepare for pranayama (breathing exercises).

    Taking this time for yourself:
Taking this time for yourself, even if you do only one pose for three minutes, will help you to unlock tension and to improve your inner and outer balance.

YOGA IS ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL PRACTICE.

ENJOY THE QUIET.  ENJOY THE STILLNESS.

    ENJOY YOUR PRACTICE.
